Law360, New York (July 15, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal court will move forward with sanctions proceedings against Dish Network Corp. despite an appeals court decision to stay an injunction barring the satellite television provider from infringing a TiVo Inc. patent for digital video recorders.
Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas denied Dish's motion to stay the sanctions proceedings, but agreed that any sanctions imposed would not take effect until after the resolution of the company's appeal.
