ATP Bests Antitrust Suit Over Tournament In 3rd Circ.

Law360, New York (June 28, 2010, 5:04 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a jury's finding that a group of small tennis organizations failed to prove that men's professional tennis association ATP Tour Inc. violated antitrust laws when it reconfigured its tournament system.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said Friday that a jury was right to find in 2008 that the German Tennis Federation, Qatar Tennis Federation and Hamburg tournament operator Rothenbaum Sports GmbH had failed to prove their antitrust allegations against ATP.
