Law360, New York (January 19, 2012, 9:04 PM ET) -- Fighting an $18 billion court judgment for polluting Ecuador's rain forest, Chevron Corp. faced another setback Thursday when the Second Circuit refused to reverse its decision to let the plaintiffs make collection attempts.
The appeals court said that it would not reconsider its earlier decision to let a group of Ecuadorean plaintiffs and their U.S.-based lawyers try to collect on the multibillion judgment they won in Ecuador's courts.
