4th Circ. Says Amara Ruling Expands ERISA Remedies

Law360, New York (July 06, 2012, 9:18 PM ET) -- The Fourth Circuit on Thursday ruled that remedies for certain breaches of fiduciary duties under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act are not limited to refunds, taking an expansive view of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Cigna Corp. v. Amara that could help plaintiffs keep their claims in court.
