Ethical Concerns Raised Over Justices' Finances, Trips

Law360, New York (August 08, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Recent financial disclosures showing the justices on the current U.S. Supreme Court have been paid or reimbursed for a plethora of book deals, international conferences and teaching positions have raised eyebrows among some legal experts.

A Law360 analysis of the justices’ disclosure reports found that at least six of the nine high court judges are millionaires. Since the justices are only required to report the monetary range for the value of their assets, the justices’ possible income varied widely.
