Plaintiff Seeks To Move Chrysler Appeal Forward

Law360, New York (June 22, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Gilbert Mohr, whose wife and mother-in-law were killed in an accident while driving a Dodge Caravan in 2002, has asked the court overseeing Chrysler LLC’s Chapter 11 proceedings for relief from the automatic stay so that he can defend DaimlerChrysler LLC’s appeal in a product liability case in which the plaintiffs have been awarded more than $18 million.

Mohr filed his motion for relief from the automatic stay on Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
