Chantix Wrongful Death Suit Survives Bid To Toss

Law360, New York (July 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pfizer Inc. has lost a bid to dismiss a lawsuit alleging that it failed to warn consumers of the suicide risk associated with its anti-smoking drug Chantix.

Judge Joseph Batallion refused on Thursday to dismiss a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court of Nebraska by the relative of a patient who committed suicide after taking Chantix.
