Sun, Forest Reach Deal In Lexapro Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. has reached a deal with Forest Laboratories Inc. to license several patents related to the antidepressant Lexapro, bringing an end to a long-running patent suit between the drugmakers.

The companies announced the licensing deal Friday, although notice of the settlement has not yet been filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, where the suit has been pending since 2006.
