Senate Dems May Unveil Climate Change Bill Soon

Law360, New York (September 25, 2009, 1:55 PM EDT) -- Senate Democrats reportedly will introduce a bill to cut greenhouse gas emissions Sept. 30, though some political insiders say it's unlikely a bill would pass before December's international summit on climate change in Copenhagen.

The bill, to be co-authored by U.S. Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., likely will mirror the one proposed by the U.S. House of Representatives in June, a Reuters report said Friday.
