Princeton Review To Pay $170M Cash For Penn Foster

Law360, New York (October 19, 2009, 12:23 PM EDT) -- Educational services provider The Princeton Review Inc. said Monday it would buy Penn Foster Education Group Inc., one of the biggest and oldest online career-education companies in the U.S., for $170 million cash.

In what it said was a push to build one of the “largest and most diverse providers of post-secondary education services” in the U.S., Princeton Review announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to buy Penn Foster, owned by private equity firm The Wicks Group of Cos. LLC.
