Expanding DCHRA Beyond DC Employment

Law360, New York (November 5, 2009, 4:57 PM EST) -- A recent decision of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals (the highest court for the district) has expanded the jurisdictional coverage of the District of Columbia Human Rights Act (“DCHRA”) beyond the district’s borders.

That decision, Monteilh v. AFSCME, AFL-CIO, No. 06-CV-1155 (D.C.
