Prison Workers' Overtime Action Granted Certification

Law360, New York (November 10, 2009, 1:06 PM ET) -- A federal judge has granted three motions for conditional class certification — from teachers, lieutenants and case managers — in a lawsuit alleging prison company The GEO Group Inc. failed to compensate overtime at its correctional facilities.

Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oklahoma signed an order on Monday granting the certification motions, all of which were filed July 17.
