ITC Bans Import Of Samsung LCD Products

Law360, New York (November 10, 2009, 12:42 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has banned imports of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. liquid crystal display televisions, finding that the products infringe valid patents held by rival Sharp Corp. and that a ban won't harm the U.S. economy.

The commission entered cease-and-desist and exclusion orders Monday preventing Samsung from importing any LCD products that allegedly infringe four Sharp patents, and terminated its investigation into Samsung LCDs.
