CIT Group Asks To Add Curtis, Sullivan As Counsel

Law360, New York (November 11, 2009, 1:38 PM ET) -- Bankrupt commercial lender CIT Group Inc. has asked the court to approve Sullivan & Cromwell LLP as special counsel and Curtis Mallet-Prevost Colt & Mosle LLP as conflicts counsel, following the appointment of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP as lead counsel.

CIT filed applications to retain the two additional law firms Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

According to CIT, Curtis will take over on matters where Skadden finds a conflict of interest.
