US Trustee Challenges Freedom's CFO Bonus Plan

Law360, New York (November 17, 2009, 3:16 PM ET) -- The acting U.S. trustee overseeing the Freedom Communications Holdings Inc. bankruptcy is objecting to the debtor's attempt to amend the bonus terms for its chief financial officer, saying the proposal is an improper retention bonus in disguise.

Acting U.S. Trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis filed her objection Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to Freedom's request to amend the employment contract for CFO Mark McEachen, who is also serving as the chief restructuring officer.
