Puma Settles FLSA Late Pay Collective Action

Law360, New York (November 17, 2009, 12:44 PM ET) -- Puma North America Inc. has agreed to settle a collective action alleging the shoemaker violated federal labor law by failing to pay nearly $351,000 in wages on time to hundreds of employees, despite moving to decertify the conditionally approved class in late October.

The plaintiffs filed a motion seeking approval of their acceptance of Puma's conditional offer of judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Monday.
