Metaldyne Trustee Objects To Fee Payments

Law360, New York (November 17, 2009, 12:30 PM EST) -- A U.S. trustee has asked that a bankruptcy court hold back part of any interim compensation to professionals in the Metaldyne Corp. Chapter 11 proceedings, including Jones Day, Foley & Lardner LLP and Reed Smith LLP, until the cases are resolved.

In a Tuesday objection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, Diana G. Adams said applications for compensation and reimbursement first must demonstrate that the professionals' services were necessary and made a beneficial contribution to the estate or its creditors....
