Nationwide, Prudential Settle In DataTern Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 05, 2010, 12:24 PM ET) -- Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. and Prudential Insurance Co. of America have become the latest defendants to settle with DataTern Inc. in its infringement suit targeting more than a dozen companies over a patent related to database access systems.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Monday signed orders dismissing Nationwide, Prudential and several of their affiliates, pursuant to the terms of settlement and license agreements signed Dec. 3, 2009.
