DOC Affirms Lower Duties For Chinese Steel Pipe Co.

Law360, New York (January 7, 2010, 3:10 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has affirmed its decision to assign a separate anti-dumping duty rate for Chinese pipe producer Zhejiang Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals Co. Ltd., in spite of a challenge from domestic producers led by Bristol Metals LP.

Deputy assistant secretary for import administration Ronald Lorentzen signed off on the decision Tuesday, upholding an earlier determination that had been remanded to the department by the U.S. Court of International Trade.
