Spansion Strikes Deals With Japanese Ex-Subsidiary

Law360, New York (January 8, 2010, 6:08 PM EST) -- Bankrupt flash memory chip maker Spansion Inc. said Friday that it would acquire the distribution business of Spansion Japan Ltd., its former subsidiary, and that it had approved a new foundry services agreement that would include wafer and sort services from the Japanese company.

The terms of the deals, which remain subject to completion of definitive agreements and approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and the Tokyo District Court, were undisclosed.
