Urethane Suits Against BASF, Dow Win Green Light

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 7:31 PM ET) -- A federal judge has allowed chemical companies to proceed with two putative class actions accusing BASF SE, the Dow Chemical Co. and Huntsman International LLC of price-fixing in the urethane market, but rejected claims based on European law and against two BASF executives.

Judge John W. Lungstrum issued a ruling Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas concerning dismissal motions filed by the defendants in two actions brought in tandem with a multidistrict litigation over urethane price-fixing.
