ITC Seeks Input For Updating Harmonized System

Law360, New York (February 2, 2010, 6:21 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has sounded an open call for proposals as the World Customs Organization looks to update the Harmonized Commodity Description and Trading System to better reflect current technology and trade patterns.

In connection with the WCO’s fifth review cycle for the Harmonized System, interested parties and agencies have until Nov. 1 to propose ways in which the standardized trading system may be enhanced and the classifications improved, according to the Federal Register.
