Oil Sands Pipeline Construction Can Continue: Judge

Law360, New York (February 08, 2010, 4:31 PM ET) -- The Sierra Club and other environmental groups have lost their bid for a preliminary injunction to halt construction of the Alberta Clipper pipeline, designed to carry heavy crude oil from the oil sands in Canada to Wisconsin.

Judge Donovan W. Frank of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota ruled Wednesday that the environmental groups did not show a substantial probability that they would eventually succeed in their efforts to overturn the pipeline's permits.
