Heelys Maker Rolls Out Suit Against Kohl's, Others

Law360, New York (February 09, 2010, 12:00 AM ET) -- The maker of Heelys — a brand of children's shoes with wheels embedded in the heels — has targeted Kohl's Department Stores Inc., Four Seasons Design Inc. and Tony Hawk Inc. with a patent and trademark infringement suit over their alleged knockoff versions of the skates.

Heeling Sports Ltd. filed an amended complaint Friday against the three companies in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, arguing that the defendants' athletic shoes and strap-on wheel assemblies constitute infringement.
