Fiserv, TD Ask For Stay On Madoff Coverage Dispute

Law360, New York (February 09, 2010, 3:31 PM ET) -- Financial services firm Fiserv Inc. and TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. have asked a judge to put the brakes on a lawsuit filed by Aspen Insurance UK Ltd. and Lloyd’s of London underwriters over coverage for as much as $1 billion in claims related to Bernard Madoff’s Ponzi scheme.

Contending that it would be unfair to litigate the dispute while the underlying investor cases are still pending, the financial firms filed a motion on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado asking Judge...
