Toyota Loses Bid To Get 'Cover-Up' Docs From Ex-Atty

Law360, New York (February 11, 2010, 1:25 PM ET) -- An arbitrator has denied Toyota Motor Corp.'s bid to force its former in-house counsel to turn over documents that he claims show the car giant covering up evidence relevant to litigation over rollover accidents.

However, the arbitrator's ruling left in place an injunction from a state court prohibiting former Toyota counsel Dimitrios P. Biller from making the documents public, Biller's attorney Jeffrey Francis Allen said Thursday. Allen said he regarded the ruling as “a victory.”
