Pegasus, Allscripts Software IP Spat Headed To Jury

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 3:59 PM ET) -- A federal judge has refused to dismiss a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by software developer Pegasus Imaging Corp. against health records software company Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. over software code, paving the way for a jury trial in March.

Judge James S. Moody of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida ruled Tuesday that a jury would have to decide whether there had been any agreement between the companies that allowed Allscripts to use code from Pegasus in one of its products....
