EEOC Hit With $4.5M Atty Fees In Sex Harassment Suit

Law360, New York (February 11, 2010, 1:11 PM ET) -- A judge has told the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to cough up more than $4.5 million in attorneys' fees and expenses, saying its actions in pursuing a sexual harassment suit against CRST Van Expedited Inc. were unreasonable and imposed an unnecessary burden on the company and the court.

The ruling of Judge Linda R. Reade of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa on Tuesday came several months after she dismissed the remaining sexual harassment allegations the commission brought against CRST....
