Teva, Novartis Settle Suit Over Generic Famvir
Law360, New York (February 16, 2010, 1:35 PM ET) -- Israel-based Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.'s U.S. unit has settled a patent infringement suit brought by Novartis AG over a generic version of genital herpes drug Famvir.
Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. will make a one-time payment to Novartis and pay ongoing royalties on future U.S. sales of the generic in exchange for a release from liability, Teva said.
