Video Security Co. Sued Over Remote Control Patent

Law360, New York (February 26, 2010, 2:50 PM ET) -- RemoTech LLC has accused Canadian video surveillance company Lorex Technology Inc. of infringing a patent covering a system that extends the range of remote controls used with audio and video equipment.

RemoTech lodged its complaint Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, alleging Lorex has knowingly infringed U.S. Patent Number 4,809,359, which was issued in February 1989 and expired in late 2006.
