Airgas Fails To Oust Cravath From Air Products Fight

Law360, New York (March 05, 2010, 7:18 PM ET) -- While Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP may never be back in Airgas Inc.’s good graces, the firm won’t be disqualified from representing Air Products & Chemicals Inc. in its hostile takeover fight for Airgas, a former client.

At a teleconference Friday in the Delaware Chancery Court, Chancellor William B. Chandler III found little reason to prevent Cravath from continuing to represent Air Products in its merger maneuverings as well as related litigation over the Airgas board’s foursquare opposition to the $7 billion, $60-per-share acquisition offer....
