Obama Says Export Control Reform Plan Imminent

Law360, New York (March 12, 2010, 6:11 PM ET) -- The Obama administration will outline its proposal to reform the U.S. export control system within weeks, according to the president, who provided several details of the plan.

In a speech Thursday at the Export-Import Bank's annual conference in Washington, President Barack Obama said a broad review of the export control system has been completed and Defense Secretary Robert Gates will unveil a reform proposal in the next few weeks.
