ADT To Pay $1.5M To Settle Meal, Rest Breaks Suit

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 12:53 PM ET) -- ADT Security Services Inc., a division of Tyco International Ltd., has agreed to pay approximately $1.5 million to settle a class action alleging the company failed to provide its security guards meal and rest breaks and proper wage statements.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs filed a motion seeking approval of the settlement and conditional class certification on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The motion states that the deal will provide relief to 3,000 current and former ADT employees in California....
