Verizon Sues To Block Cablevision TV Boxes

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 5:42 PM ET) -- Verizon Communications Inc. has filed suit against Cablevision Systems Corp. in the U.S. International Trade Commission, seeking to stop Cablevision's importation of digital TV set-top boxes that allegedly infringe five Verizon patents.

The Section 337 complaint, filed Tuesday, calls on the ITC to launch an investigation of Cablevision's imported digital set-top boxes, and issue an injunction banning the boxes from entering the U.S.
