Howrey Starts 'Task Force' For False Ad Claims

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 7:01 PM ET) -- Howrey LLP said Wednesday it has formed an advertising litigation task force to capitalize on an “onslaught” of cases involving allegations of unfair competition, consumer protection violations and other false advertising claims.

The task force will handle a range of matters, including representing companies in Lanham Act disputes with competitors and in regulatory actions involving the Federal Trade Commission, and defending clients against the “rapidly growing” field of class actions launched by consumers, according to the firm.
