DOL Orders Tennessee Commerce To Pay Ex-CFO $1M

Law360, New York (March 19, 2010, 1:49 PM EDT) -- Finding that Tennessee Commerce Bank fired its former chief financial officer in violation of whistleblower protections, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has ordered the bank to reinstate him and cough up over $1 million in back wages and other relief.

OSHA announced Thursday its finding that former CFO George Fort was axed after raising concerns about the Nashville-based bank's internal controls, employee accounts, insider trading and other issues.
