DOJ Hits Daimler With Bribery Charges Under FCPA

Law360, New York (March 23, 2010, 5:24 PM EDT) -- As it reportedly homes in on a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Daimler AG is facing new federal felony charges brought by the U.S. Department of Justice accusing the German automaker and several subsidiaries of paying out tens of millions of dollars in bribes to officials in at least 22 foreign countries to secure lucrative government contracts.
