EU To Hit DRAM Makers With Price-Fixing Fines

Law360, New York (May 17, 2010, 3:09 PM EDT) -- Europe's competition watchdog is reportedly poised to level fines this week against nine dynamic random access memory chip makers — including Samsung Electronics and Infineon Technologies AG — for price-fixing.

The European Commission was expected to make a decision on the fines on Wednesday, according to an unnamed source quoted by Reuters. The total amount of the fines could be around $381 million, Reuters reported.
