Franchisees Try Again In ConocoPhillips Rent Dispute

Law360, New York (June 23, 2010, 10:11 AM EDT) -- About five dozen Union 76 gas station franchisees have filed an amended complaint in their rent dispute with brand owner ConocoPhillips Co., seeking to remedy the deficiencies that sunk their previous attempt.

Judge Ronald M. Whyte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California had dismissed the franchisees' amended consolidated master complaint June 2, but he gave them 20 days to replead. They filed the first amended consolidated master complaint Monday.
