IPhone 4 Signal Issues Spawn 2 Class Actions

Law360, New York (July 1, 2010, 2:15 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. released its wildly popular iPhone 4 knowing that it dropped calls if held in a normal way, plaintiffs in two new product liability class actions claim.

The lawsuits — filed Tuesday and Wednesday in the federal courts in the Southern District of Texas and the District of Maryland — follow widely reported complaints about the alleged issue. The suit in Maryland also names as a defendant Apple's exclusive network provider, AT&T Inc.
