Nokia Loses Bid To Speed Up 337 Suit Against Apple

Law360, New York (July 14, 2010, 3:30 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission administrative law judge has denied Nokia Corp.'s bid to speed up the pretrial phase of its Section 337 suit against Apple Inc. over cell phone technology, rejecting the contention that Apple should have only five days to respond to seven motions to compel discovery.

Administrative Law Judge James Gildea on Wednesday ruled that the case would proceed as initially planned, saying Nokia failed to show exigent circumstances that would outweigh the prejudice Apple would face if forced to respond so quickly....
