Oil, Gas Development Halted In Chukchi Sea

Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 5:55 PM ET) -- A federal judge has temporarily halted oil and gas development on some 29 million acres of public land off the northwest coast of Alaska, saying the U.S. Department of the Interior skirted environmental laws when it offered to lease the land to companies seeking to develop oil and gas wells.
