US Reaches $13M Cleanup Deal With Tyco, Others

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 7:03 PM EDT) -- The federal government has struck a $13 million settlement with four companies — Tyco Healthcare Group LP, W.R. Grace & Co.-Conn., BIM Investment Corp. and Shaffer Realty Nominee Trust — that will speed up cleanup at a Superfund site in Massachusetts.

The government filed both a complaint against the companies and a consent decree in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Wednesday.
