FTC Seeks More Info On $3.4B Grifols-Talecris Deal

Law360, New York (August 9, 2010, 12:19 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission is seeking additional information on Spanish health care company Grifols SA's $3.4 billion plan to buy Talecris Biotherapeutics Holdings Corp., about a year after the agency blocked a separate buyout proposal for the Cerberus Capital Management LP affiliate.

North Carolina-based Talecris said Monday that it and its suitor had received a second request for information from the FTC, pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
