LVMH Settles Face-Off With Financial Giant

Law360, New York (February 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The five-year wrangling between investment bank Morgan Stanley and French luxury goods company Louis Vuitton over claims of defamation and bias has ended amicably, but confidentially.

The dispute, which saw LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton awarded €30 million by a Paris court only to have it returned on appeal, centered on allegations the financial giant tarnished its reputation while advising a competitor.
