Nadel’s Wife Must Divulge Her Assets To Receiver

Law360, New York (September 08, 2010, 2:11 PM ET) -- A federal judge on Wednesday rejected a bid by the wife of convicted Ponzi schemer Arthur Nadel to quash a subpoena issued by a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-appointed receiver for records related to her personal assets.

Judge Richard A. Lazzara of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, who’s overseeing the SEC’s civil case against Nadel, ruled that the request by receiver Burton W. Wiand wasn’t too broad, burdensome or oppressive, nor did it aim to harass or annoy Marguerite Nadel....
