Garmin Settles In Acacia Unit's Interactive Map IP Suit

Law360, New York (September 14, 2010, 1:43 PM ET) -- A unit of Acacia Research Corp. has struck a deal with defendant Garmin International Inc. in a suit accusing several navigation device makers of infringing a patent for interactive map technology.

WebMap Technologies LLC announced Monday in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it had settled with Garmin and Garmin USA Inc., ending the navigation device maker's role in litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
