Ex-Hartford, Conn., Mayor Gets 3 Years For Corruption

Law360, New York (September 14, 2010, 6:53 PM EDT) -- Former Hartford Mayor Eddie A. Perez was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison for his conviction on five felony charges after an investigation into city government corruption.

Hartford Superior Court Judge Julia DiCocco Dewey sentenced Perez, who resigned from his position in the wake of the verdict against him, to a total effective sentence of eight years, with execution suspended after three years served, and three years probation.
