Store Managers Hit Couche-Tard With Overtime Action

Law360, New York (October 15, 2010, 1:04 PM EDT) -- A group of store managers has launched a proposed class action against convenience store chain The Circle K Co. and its Canada-based parent company, Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., alleging the companies deprived workers of overtime pay for years.

The plaintiffs filed their suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, seeking to recover unpaid wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act, according to the complaint. The complaint also calls for liquidated damages and reasonable attorneys’ fees.
