Pa. Whistleblower Drops $77M Medicaid Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (October 19, 2010, 12:57 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a False Claims Act suit that accused Pennsylvania of fleecing the federal government of $77 million through fraudulent Medicaid reimbursement requests.

Judge Sylvia Rambo of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on Monday granted the plaintiff's motion to dismiss the case, which he was unable to pursue after the U.S. Department of Justice declined to intervene in the matter.
